When I try to log in it says ``Invalid Credentials``

More often than not this is a typing error. Enter the username and password manually, do not use the “stored” credentials. Be aware that the username and password are case sensitive, also ensure that your caps lock is not on. If you still cannot successfully login please email support as support@silversmithinc.com or call (989)732-8988

I cannot run reports. The wheel just spins.

First you must make sure that you have Microsoft Excel installed on your computer. Secondly make sure that your “Date-Range” does not start with a date that doesn’t have a record. Lastly keep in mind the amount of data your requesting, you may need to run several reports with shorted date ranges.

Meter or Meters are not updating

So first select the poll type “Current” in the top right corner and then click the “Poll” button. If it polls successfully then select poll type “Daily” and click the “Poll” button. Below is a list of common error messages and what the possible cause is.

Error Timeout Poll Fail

This means the meter is not responding, there are multiple reasons for this to happen and most likely requires a site visit. You can always check the voltage, which should be at least 12 volts, and perform a power cycle by polling out the bottom right green 5 pin plug on the main board. If that doesn’t resolve the issue please contact your local technician.

Error No ACK

This means that a meter in this meters communication path is not online. Attempt to poll the meters in the communication path until you get an Error Timeout Poll Fail message. This is the one causing the issue and will require a site visit to resolve.  Please contact your local technician to schedule a visit.

Error Sending to Socket

This means that the modem this meter communicates threw is not offline. You can always check the voltage, which should be at least 12 volts, and perform a power cycle by polling out the bottom right green 5 pin plug on the main board of the meter that has the modem in it.
